The above link, is an animation of the revolutionary "Trump Engine"! This engine fires all power plates at the same time. Negating the connecting shafts, it forms a square, at this point, the maximum pressures are reached, for firing at the center of the radius. The spark plugs appear red in my animation, there are holes in the sliding shafts that equalize the pressures on all power plates. A piston has a known diameter and surface area at top dead center, this motor has no surface area at TDC, but when it expands, that area comes into existence. It is the product of the area size of the power plates, it also increases in area as combustion pressures decrease, this is a very good thing, plus the apex of leverage is where it should be for maximum torque output. On a typical internal combustion, or ICE for short, engine combustion pressures occur around 11 degrees from top dead center, and mostly spent at 25 degrees. The piston only travels about 1/2 inch, and that is where all the power is generated and why they are so inefficient. Imagine if you were pedaling a bicycle, and when the pedal was at the top, 12 o'clock position, and you could only move to the 1 o'clock position before you had to stop pushing, it would be very hard to pedal the bike, if not impossible. The Trump Engine is perfectly balanced. Opposing paired, sliding power plate connectors, offset each other's motion, and that eliminates vibrations.
